Your final assessment for Practical Leadership & Development covers all nine sections in this book. Answer every section in a single document, in the order they appear below, with the section letter as a heading above each answer.
Section A — Introduction to Leadership
Do You Lead Others? Honestly identify the people who follow your example, and reflect on whether you lead with positive influence and with a servant’s heart rather than for recognition.
Section B — Being Led by God
Being Led by the Holy Spirit. Give three Old Testament examples of God leading His people, describe a personal experience of being led by the Spirit, and discuss how you are pursuing God’s will for your life and ministry.
Section C — The Character of a Leader
The Heart and Character of Man. Discuss sin as a heart issue using Matthew 5:27-28 and Psalm 66:18, rate yourself against the six character traits of God in Exodus 34:5-7, and describe how leaders cultivate character.
Section D — Characteristics to Avoid (Put Off)
Dealing with Quarrels and Anger. Reading 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9, honestly list what you personally struggle to put off, and what measures you will take to address it.
Section E — Characteristics to Foster (Put On)
Analyse Your Temptation Patterns; Leadership Qualifications. Work through the who/where/when/why of your own temptation patterns, and complete the 1–10 self-rating across the 17 leadership qualifications from 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
Section F — Know Who You Are
Spiritual Gifts. Reflect on your special talents and what others in the Body of Christ see in you. Complete the 99-question Spiritual Gifts Inventory worksheet (available from your lecturer) and summarise your top gifts here.
Section G — Become a Visionary
Vision Development. Work through all six steps — pray, think big, review your gifts and experience, journal your dream, and develop a plan — as a guided personal exercise.
Section H & I — Building Relationships
Submission & Accountability; Mentoring Others. Reflect honestly on your submission to your own leader and the depth of your accountability relationship, then on your own experience mentoring — or preparing to mentor — someone else.
How to submit: save your completed document as a PDF or Word file (.pdf or .docx) and upload it below. Only one upload is allowed — make sure every section is included before you submit. Your lecturer will mark your submission and your result will appear in your profile.
This assessment is marked out of 100. A mark of 60% or higher is required to pass.
